Alfred and _____ had been dating for months now. They had clicked since day one and were becoming more adorable every day. When they walked by in the halls of their school, other people stopped and stared and thought "Wow… I wish I could find love like that one day." The two complemented each other perfectly: Alfred was bubbly and outgoing, always prone to shouting and running around while _____ was quieter and more relaxed. She kept Alfred from going over the top at the same time he made sure she was always involved and included. But somehow… Through all this… They had yet to admit that they loved each other.
"Goodbye, honey, I'll see you tomorrow."
"Bye, babe! I'll text you when I get home!"
"I'll be counting the seconds." _____ smiled, stroking Alfred's cheek gently with one hand and staring into his large blue eyes. Alfred kissed her on the lips quickly before running up the steps onto his bus.
"You two are sickening." Arthur announced as Alfred took his seat.
"Aw…. I zhink it's sweet." Francis sighed, leaning his head on his hands and letting strands of straw colored hair fall into his eyes.
"Yeah!" burbled Feliciano, "You two are-a so cute together!"
"She's a damn fine woman." put in Ludwig, "Damn fine."
"Heh." Alfred smiled, "Yeah, _____'s great. I couldn't get by without her."
"But have you told her that?" Roderich asked tactfully (as always), staring Alfred down with his deep purple eyes.
Alfred sat back, stunned. He took off his glasses and began to clean them with his shirt tail. "No…" he mused, "I-I guess I haven't."
There was a collective 'ooh.'
"What are you doing mon ami?" cried Francis, "You 'ave to tell her you love 'er quickly or lose 'er forever!"
"Really, Alfred, I know you are an imbecile but I had hoped you had enough brains to see this girl of yours is worth holding onto." Arthur sniffed.
"It's just never been the right time!" Alfred cried, throwing his hands up into the air defensively, "I want to make it special… She deserves something special…"
"Awh…" Feliciano sighed happily, putting his arm around Ludwig lovingly, "That's-a right, amico. And you're-a special too."
Ludwig nodded gruffly, a light pink dusting his cheeks at Feliciano's embrace. "At least you realize what you haff."
There was silence for a moment then Alfred nodded decisively. "It's decided… I'm going to tell her this weekend. I shouldn't wait any longer for this." He gave a dramatic pause, "I'm going to tell ____.... That I love her."
