"_____! What are you still doing up, Love?"
You looked up in alarm from your book, "Huh?" You blinked at the man standing above you, holding a cup of tea in his hand. It was your boyfriend, Arthur Kirkland.
"I asked why you're still awake."
"I couldn't sleep…" you stifled a yawn, "So I decided to read a chapter or two of this book."
"And then the whole rest of the series, I see…" Arthur chuckled, gesturing at the pile of novels surrounding you.
"Sue me, it's interesting!" You stuck your tongue out at the Brit.
"I'll leave you to it then…" Arthur rolled his eyes and began to walk away.
"No, wait!" You called after him.
"Yes, dear?" Arthur turned back to you, a sparkle of amusement in his eyes.
"Read to me." You held your book out, giving Arthur a wide eyed, innocent look accompanied with your signature pout you knew he couldn't resist.
"Fine… But just for a bit. I have to go to work in a little bit." Arthur sat down next to you with a groan, setting his teacup on the floor.
You handed him the book with a smile and a quick peck on the cheek that made him blush.
"Ahem… Right, so erm…. 'That night I sent one of my guards to fetch my brothers. I sat in the dark, clutching the hilt of my sword until they came. When I told them what I learned, they wanted to scoop me up and take me back to Sparta as fast as-'" Arthur stopped, looking at you disapprovingly. "Really? A book based off of Ancient Greek mythology?"
"I found it on -your- bookshelf…"
"R-Right…" Arthur turned a brilliant shade of red and continued reading. His soft, melodious voice filled your ears and you closed your eyes, leaning your head on his shoulder. After a little while, you stopped paying attention to what Arthur was saying, lost in your own daydream.
---
Arthur was dressed in a sheer white toga, draped over one shoulder. He was laying on a chaise lounge, dangling a string of grapes from his fingers.
"Come closer, ______... Feed me." He commanded royally, biting into one of the grapes and letting red juice dribble down his chin.
"But, Arthur… What if I stain my clothes?" you asked, gesturing down at your own pristine toga.
"Then forget the grapes!" he cried, tossing the fruit away and sitting up, opening his arms wide, "Give me some sugar, baby."
You let out a little squeal and ran to sit on his lap.
---
Arthur chuckled, patting the sleeping _____ on the head.
"Alright, Love… Sweet dreams." He whispered, kissing her forehead and trying to stand. But _____ wouldn't release her iron grip on his sleeve. "Let go now, duckling." He chided, "I have to leave."
"No…" _____ mumbled in her sleep, "I have to… I have to give you…. Give you my sugar." She wrapped her arms around Arthur's waist, pulling him to her side and beginning to sleepily kiss his arm- probably not what she was aiming for in the dream, but hey, no one's that accurate when they're sleeping.
Arthur laughed again, picking up the sleeping ______ and bringing her to the bedroom,
"I guess work will have to wait a bit then…" he said aloud. Maybe reading books based off of Ancient Greek Mythology before _____'s bedtime wasn't such a bad thing.

England x Reader ~Wishful Thinking~
~Wishful Thinking~
“Arthur, what did you wish for?”
________________ was leaning her upper body over the edge of the old wishing well, her short legs dangling in the air as she watched the ripples spread out on the water’s surface.
“That’s a secret, ________________,” he said.
“That’s boring.”
Arthur rolled his eyes. “You know the saying: if you tell someone your wish, it won’t come true.”
_______________ shook her head. “No, I don’t think you need to keep it a secret to make it come true. Maybe I can help you.”
“Alright, why don’t you

Today was turning out to very boring for Arthur. Even with his usually entertaining girlfriend ___________ over, this day was turning out to be boring.
Of course, perhaps if said girlfriend was paying more attention to him rather than… whatever the hell she was looking at on her laptop, that might help things a little bit.
"Remind me why I invited you over again?" He asked, annoyed.
"You tell me." Was your oh-so-concerned reply.
An anime vein popped on Arthur's head and he growled. "Gee, I don't know. Maybe I just wanted to spend time with my girlfriend. You know, without her laptop?"
You groaned and rolled your eyes, which didn't leave
