“Uh…. Vati, zhis is (f/n).” Ludwig said, stepping in front of his father, looking sheepish, “Ve found her in zhe snow today.”
“In zhe snow…” the big man said slowly, pondering the words, “Hmmm….” He nodded once decisively, long blonde hair shimmering in the firelight, and strode over to the door, opening and gesturing outside, “Right. Get out of my house.”
“Y-You can’t just make her leave!” Ludwig spluttered, blue eyes wide with panic.
“Did I ever say I was going to?” Vat stared him down, “I vas talking to you two. Leave. Now.”
Gilbert and Ludwig gave each other sidelong glances then sighed, “Yessir…” The boys grabbed their thick coats from where they’d left them and trudged outside.
(f/n) watched from the bed, looking terrified.
Vati smiled, slamming the door shut behind his sons. He strode over to the girl, sitting down on the cot next to her and looking at her, unblinking. “So,” the big man said finally, “Vhat vere you doing out in zhe snow, hmm?”
(f/n) stared back at him, (e/c) eyes wide, “That’s what I was trying to tell the others, sir.” She stammered, “I don’t know.”
“You ‘don’t know’?” Vati asked incredulously.
“No, sir. I can’t…. I don’t….” the girl looked lost, finally turning her gaze down to the blanket covering her and fingering it uncomfortably, “I don’t remember anything.” She whispered.
Vati looked down at her with his cold blue eyes, arms folded over his chest. (F/n) could practically see the gears turning in his head.
Finally he got up, walking to the front of the cabin, “Alright, boys,” Vati said loudly, swinging the door open, “You can stop listening in now.”
Gilbert and Ludwig stood there, bent over with hands cupped around their ears. They looked up sheepishly, quickly standing back up straight.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Vati!” Gilbert chuckled, “We weren’t listening in.”
“J-Ja! That’s a crazy idea.” Ludwig blushed awkwardly.
“Of course you veren’t listening to us.” Vati rolled his eyes, “But you should be now. I haff some zhings for you to do for me.”
“Like vhat…?” Gilbert raised a suspicious eyebrow.
“Take zhe girl to Father Antonio. If she is going to stay, she vill need proper clothing, not….” He looked back at (f/n) distastefully, “vhat she has on right now.”
(f/n) blushed, trying to smooth down the wrinkles in her thin dress.
Ludwig grinned, uncaring about the dress. He ran over to the bed, picking his little fairy up and spinning her around, “Did you hear him, mein kleine Fee? You get to stay! Haha, zhis is vonderful news!”
“L-Ludwig!” she squeaked, “Put me down!”
He laughed, a deep, untroubled sound, “Of course. Es tut mir leid.” The man set (f/n) down, patting her gently on the head and taking her hand in his, leading her out into the chilly daylight, yammering on about the Father.
Gilbert stayed behind, arms crossed over his chest almost identical to his father, “I don’t trust her.” He blurted immediately after the two were out of hearing range.
“Vith good reason,” his father agreed, “Zhat’s vhy I have a task for you, mein Junge.”
“Vhat is it, Vati?”
“Keep an eye on zhe girl. One wrong move and you have my permission to… keep her from making anozher. Do you understand?”
Gilbert nodded. “Ja. I vill keep my eye out.” He uncrossed his arms, walking towards his hunting knife on the table, sticking it into his pocket before heading to the door.
“And Gilbert?” Vati said in a conversational tone.
“Yes, Vati?” The young man turned back to his father.
“Look after your little brother, okay?”
Gilbert nodded grimly, “I always do. I always will.”

"France...?" Coming in, you saw the Frenchman on the ground with a blanket thrown over him. "Firstly, why are you on the floor? It's gross..."

How could he be cheated by a girl? How could he have believed that girl. Ludwig stormed off towards the couple looking very, very angry.
"You two. A word." he hissed, grabbing each of their shoulder and storming towards his office. In the office he glared at the two girls. "You, I am calling your parents." He said coldly, glaring at Melissa. (Name) blinked, looking quite surprised.
"B-b-but sir- why?"
